Get the most out of your infrared sauna sessions.

  • HYDRATE

    It is always important to maintain proper hydration levels during far infrared therapy. Dehydration will actually increase carbohydrate utilization and cause less fat to be burned for energy. We highly recommend drinking a minimum of 4 oz. of water prior to entering the sauna and a minimum of 8 oz. of water after sauna use. Water bottles are not permitted in the sauna.

  • DON'T EAT

    If possible, avoid eating for 1-2 hours before using the sauna.

  • TOWEL OFF

    Towel off sweat as you sauna. Removing excess perspiration as your body heats enables you to sweat more!

  • NO LOTIONS

    Avoid the application of lotions or oils before your sauna. These can clog the pores and inhibit sweating.

How I sauna:

I enjoy my sauna most often before work and before eating. I normally drink a large glass of water first, with some lemon and pink Himalayan salt. I preheat sauna to 115 F or more and wear a light pair of shorts. I take a towel with me and use it throughout sauna to wipe away sweat. I like to sit so I can stretch my hamstrings and back and do some neck stretches.

After 30-45 minutes, I exit and cool off for 30 minutes or so before starting my day. I find that I am more refreshed in the morning, similar to after working out. I have better focus, less tightness in my back and healthier skin. I simply feel better after my sauna.
